Robotic stair-climbing steed
Just a quick post to point you to some recent coverage of a stair climbing robotic chair/biped hybrid from Waseda University, Japan, which we first covered this back in 2003.
Engadget managed to track down a video of the most recent version. Here’s a direct link to it. I particular like the way it can pivot on a single leg without moving either foot.
